Lighting Designer
Greg Catellier has been the resident Lighting Designer and Technical Director at Emory University since 2002, lighting professional and student works that have come through the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. Throughout Atlanta, he has lit the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival and worked with companies such as Full Radius, staibdance, and Core Dance. He coordinated and lit guest residencies at Emory such as Dafi Altabeb, Jennifer Nugent and Paul Matteson, Kendra Portier, Trisha Brown/Jamie Scott, Anat Grigorio, Yossi Berg and Odded Graf, and others. In 2016, Greg took on the role as Technical Director and Production Manager for the American College Dance Association at Emory University, in conjunction with the Ferst Center for the Performing Arts handling nine concerts and all aspects of the technical work. Greg often give tech talks to the local community, explaining topics such as lighting, q-lab, and vectorworks.
He was the production manager and lighting supervisor at Bates Dance Festival for many years, presenting around five main stage productions of established and emerging artist. He was responsible for coordinating all aspects of production for the festival as well as mentoring five interns.
